U 8s scratch race

CCH laid on a Grass Track last saturday 21st July as a part of Hackney Homes Fun day on Maybley Green to coincide with the passing of the Olympic Torch parade. The fun day was very popular and well attended with the good weather finally putting in an appearance. Thirty plus riders tested themselves against the clock in hot conditions.

The whole proceedings were watched over by an inflatable one-eyed giant called Wenlock. The racing was well contested with many locals giving it a try.
