April racing round -up so far

Tao and the rest of the Junior GB team.
First of all apologies for having to put up two weeks worth of racing all at once - last week was just too busy. This weekend has produced some great racing across the globe what with team GB doing so well on the Track in Melbourne - I lost count of how many medals they won, and a fantastic win for man of the moment Tom Boonen at the Paris-Roubaix. Our very own Tao Geoghan-Hart was riding in the Junior Paris-Roubaix for Great Britain and altough he crashed out I'm sure he helped in some way his team mate Jon Dibben finishing on the podium in third place. Anna and Bede said - "it was an amazing chase through French fields and lanes. We managed to see the juniors six times and watched the pros come into the velodrome. We recommend it as a very exciting day out!

Quote from Tao who is at a ODP training camp in Newport -  'A unique race, a brilliant atmosphere and great support from CCH members on the road. It was a shame to crash so hard out of the lead group but I'll be back next year!'

Alex in the U16s at Hillingdon 7/4/12

This follows on from another win for Tao last weekend at Hoghill in the E123 Eagle RC Spring Circuit races. At Hoghill on Friday we had the Eagle Road Club's Good Friday meeting where Kai posted 4th in the U10s as did Alex in the U16s, Alex followed this up with a tenth place in a very tight race in the U16s on Saturday at Hillingdon in week 3 of the After Spring Crits. Logan was fourth in a closely fought U12s. The previous week Alex finished 11th in the U16s as did Mostyn in the U14s.

Patrick at the Good Friday meet
Friday saw CCH represented at the Good Friday meeting at Herne Hill in the shape of one of our Ugandan team-mates Patrick Lawino in the sprint. It was a great day out and if you've never been to the Good Friday meeting before you should get there next time.

Apologies to anyone Racing in the ERRL Chelmer road race last sunday - results not posted yet - same to any youth riding yesterday in the start of the LVYCC summer series at a very wet Hoghill - no results yet. If you are out there racing please email me how you get on - I can only spend so much time trawling through the results.
