Alex Peters raced in round 3 of the British Cycling National Mountain Bike Cross Country Series at Margam Park in Wales on Saturday. The rain was incessant and the course included the toughest climbs in the series so these were ideal conditions for Alex.
Alex finished in 1 hour 28 mins; almost 3 minutes clear of the next rider with the most determined of tail-enders still coming in over 1h 40mins later.
Gary Lingard also looked in great form, he was heading for a second place podium finish in the vets race when a puncture cruelly ended his race as he came into the final lap.
