The following Saturday 1st June is our Euro Track Racing day at Herne Hill Velodrome so kit will be available from 8.30am - 10.30am before we all head off to the races...

Superclub at Welwyn

14 CCH youth riders have been taking part in British Cycling Eastern Region Superclub track training up at Welwyn Velodrome. The riders aged 12-16 have a range of experience from novice through to seasoned track racers but all are willing and able to improve their track riding techniques and speed. With over 50 riders attending these volunteer run events organisation is key so big thanks to all who helped out get the riders there and carrying out tasks at the velodrome and back at CCH HQ. The riders are halfway through Block 1 of three training blocks running at Welwyn over the summer. All these blocks are aimed at rider improvement and enabling the riders to compete in track leagues, Ominiums and the regional and hopefully national champs.

The second block is coming up soon - the dates are - 23rd and 30th of June, the 7th, 14th, and 28th of July and the 11th of August. Riders wishing to take part should let me know by 25th of May. Novices are welcome - riders have to be category Junior, A, B or C and should be able to attend as many of the block as possible as the sessions are progressive. Places and bikes are limited so get in there quick. Parents should be prepared to assist in helping transport riders and bikes to Welwyn.

Spring kit order

The spring kit order has arrived. What happens next? Kit team; Mick Smith & Keir Apperley will check all is present and correct and put the name on the bag of those who've paid in advance. Then providing volunteer staff are available next Saturday morning (18th May), the new kit will be at the CCH *HQ 6 Olympus Sq Nightingale Estate London E5 8PL for collection. Please check the blog & face book for confirmation. It may be that there is not enough time for volunteers to sort and allocate this order ahead of Saturday coming; if this is the case apologies in advance. In short kit will be ready for collection either this Saturday 18th or the next 25th May and on going when best possible.

Please bring your CCH membership card with you to speed up collection.
