Urban Hill Climb 2018

The Swain's lane crowd was boisterous as usual
There was a sizeable turn out from the club at last weekends Urban Hill Climb organised by Rollapalluza. The testing Swain's Lane runs through Highgate Cemetry and many of the finishers looked like they should have stopped off there half way up the Hill.

The first rider to start the day off - Kai

Four riders signed on to test themselves against the hill in seventeen different categories including cargo bikes and Brompton's. The youth riders got thing going - Kai was first off and onto the leader board with a 1 minute 58 second time.

Alessandro went up in 2 mins followed by Robin at 2.04, Serafino at 2.13 and Elliot at 2.52 - we'll be looking out for these guys in the CCH youth hillclimb on the 13th October.
Logan appears out of the gloom
Next up were the Juniors with Logan posting a 1.33 to put him in the top two final race off later in the day.

James

The seniors were now on the course - James Burgess put in a respectable 1.41, Barney Duly went up in 1.53 vet 40-44 category. Nicky Birch's 2.50 put her into 2nd place in the women 40-44 category but not realising this she went home before her final - or maybe she did this deliberately as once up the hill is more than enough.

In the men's vet 50-54 Jon Hemming got a 2min dead and Paul Marsden  a 2.31.

In his final Logan won out to take the Junior honours for CCH to cap a great day out. The overall was won in a new course record of 1 minute 18 seconds by Calum Brown an amazing time.
