Lee Valley Youth CC Winter Series 2011

CCH juniors turned out in force for the first circuit race of the season - the LYVCC winter series 1 held at Hog Hill on the 29th January 2011. A very chilly ride over from the club saw 19 riders ready to race for CCH- many of them for the first time in a road circuit race.

Artie and Sam in the Under 10's

Leonard, Jake , Artie, Sam and Elliot raced in the Under 10's with Leonard finishing a strong sixth place.

Isaac in the Under 12's

Bede, Isaac, Joe, Jessie, Frank, Sam, Louis and Logan went in the Under 12's. Jessie placed 2nd in the girls whilst Bede and Isaac were 5th and 7th respectively in the boys. Jack, Garvey, Mostyn and Ned rode a tough race in the Under 14's whilst Alex McKerrell had a very good 9th place in the Under 16's - his first circuit race.

Top ride of the day has to go to Jack for sticking with it in the Under 14's - a few times it looked like he was about to throw in he towel but his very vocal team mates inspired him to keep going to the finish. Well done to everyone for riding in such cold conditions.
