The 'Round Chelmsford'

6th April 2008

The Round Chelmsford is the inaugural ride of the newly formed "Cycle Club Hackney".

The CCH has been formed to promote cycling and cycle sport in East London, especially for youth. It has already developed ties with Hackney Youth Services and Hackney Learning Trust, with the aim of providing sporting opportunities to everybody in Hackney. The club is open to anybody, regardless of age or geographical location.

Cycling is a sport that anyone can participate at their own level. The "Round Chelmsford" is a sociable, non-competitive ride that any regular rider should be able to achieve, the distance is around 88 miles; there are some hills!

There is no entry charge, there will be refreshments at various cafes along the route but you are advised to bring some emergency snacks, as well as liquid and rain gear.
